Hello and welcome! This is us! Sarah and Michael, the founders of Mikah.
Mikah Hand Stamped Jewellery and Gifts began in 2012 and we ALWAYS get asked why we started silversmithing. We are both very creative and tend to do anything that is sculptural. When we started silversmithing we were drawn to hand stamping...how sentimental each piece is, the form, the skill required (each letter is done by hand!) and that it can also draw in many of our other creative passions.
For those of you that know us, or follow us online, you will see how incredibly sentimental we are. We really are honoured when you ask us to commemorate your journey, the story behind each piece stays with us.
2014 saw us donating a portion of each piece sold to charity. We know how important support services are for bereaved parents, this has led us to donating to various bereavement support charities. 2019 sees us raising $6000 for a cold cot for our local hospital. We are also working to support bereaved parents in our local area. It is so so important to us.
We love what we do, we hope you do too! If you would like to keep up with what happens in the studio, behind the scenes and our work with charities please follow us - links below :)
